The Sword and the Stone is a psychic questing book by author and researcher Andrew Collins.

The description on the back of the book reads:

"During the autumn of 1979 those involved with the magazine Strange Phenomena, based in the Midlands, became the centre of a number of paranormal incidents. these culminated in a series of psychic messages alluding to the existence of a green jewel-like stone whose past custodians had included the Knights Templar, an underground Catholic militia, and Mary Queen of Scots, who called it the Meonia stone. An object which, in it's past, had been lined with both the Holy Grail and the Philosophers' Stone.

Following the disastrous Gunpowder plot in 1605 the stone was lost, presumed hidden for safe keeping. Psychic information suggested it could be found again, and by using investigative research and paranormal abilities, a sword bearing Mary Queen of Scots' coat of arms and the inscription 'Meonia for Marye' was unearthed. Soon afterwards the green jewel-like stone was itself found buried deep within the Worcestershire landscape inside a heavy brass casket.

It is a story of mystery, intrigue, and the supernatural. It involves excitement, fate, irrational acts, and controversy. yet was everything as it seemed? What, or who was behind this bizarre saga? And how can we interpret what occurred in realistic modern day terms?"
