Pyramids
From The Red Pill
The Egyptian Pyramids are some of the most explored and wondered about relics of the ancient Egyptian Culture. The prevailing, and most readily accepted academic notion, is that they were created during the Old Kingdom period, dating from approximately 2686 BC to 2160 BC. Based on the extant archaeological evidence, this theory does seem the most credible.
These monuments exist throughout Egypt, ranging from the most famous, the trio of pyramids at Giza, to the almost unknown, such as the Step Pyramid of Djoser. By looking at these various pyramids, a slow and steady progression and refinement of the building process can be seen. First there is the Step Pyramid, which almost resembles the ziggurats and pyramids of the lost civilizations of South America. Then there is the Bent Pyramid, which show the trial and error method of finding the proper slope at which a pyramid should be built. Finally, you get to the Great Pyramid at Giza, which is the summation, the apogee, of the pyramid building culture.
Many claim other theories, such as the creation of the Pyramids by visiting groups of ancient extraterrestrial beings or a lost, but highly advanced, civilization. Despite these claims, by looking at the archaeological record which is born in the sands and along the Nile valley, the evolution of the pyramid is readily evident.
