Kecksburg Incident
From The Red Pill
The Kecksburg UFO Sighting is ranked as one of the more well-known UFO sightings. On December 9th 1965, thousands of people across a number of U.S. states saw a brilliant fireball in the sky. It has been generally assumed by orthodox scientists to be a meteor. However, on that night eyewitnesses in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania reported an object crashing in nearby woodlands which does not fit the 'natural' explanation.
A number of people reported finding the object in the woods, describing it as being shaped like an acorn and the size of a small car. Some reports also suggest that there were visible hieroglyphs on the outside surface of the object. The mystery surrounding the event was further enhanced when the military reportedly cordoned off the crash site, ordered civilians out, and removed the acorn-shaped UFO on the back of a truck. However, they have always claimed that they found nothing.
In 2003 the Sci Fi Channel backed a well-publicised legal effort to force NASA to reveal Kecksburg-related documents to the public As part of the research for a new documentary on Kecksburg, they also sponsored a fresh scientific investigation of the site.
Due to the witness reports and military involvement, some had speculated that the 'UFO' may have been a Soviet spacecraft. In December 2005, a NASA spokesman finally admitted that metallic fragments from the object had been examined and claimed it was from a Russian satellite - contradicting earlier claims of a meteor and of nothing having been found - although the spokesman claimed all records pertaining to the investigation were "lost".
Further, a controversial scientific examination of the trajectory of the sighted fireball also suggested it may have been unrelated to the Kecksburg incident. This finding has since been disputed hwoever.
