"The modern order has 100 members...We are currently involved in an attempt to remove control of the holy sites of Jerusalem from the Israeli Government. We believe they should be administered by the United Nations and are working with the UN and NATO to achieve that goal." - John Ritchie, Reuters journalist and spokesman for the modern Knights Templar

"Alisdair knew all about our Knights Templar background. He was proud of the fact he was named after Rosslyn Chapel, which was built by the Knights Templar in Scotland. "He and I were told about our heritage and bloodline by our father when we were young boys. And we often visited Rosslyn Chapel." - James Sinclair, brother of Alisdair Rosslyn Sinclair

The death of Alisdair Rosslyn Sinclair in spring of 1988 in police custody after a week long stay in Israel was first reported in the Sunday Post, "Scot in Ritual Death Mystery". Even though Israeli offcials asserted that Mr Sinclair hanged himself in his cell, many believe he was ritually murdered in light of his bloodline. The bizarre fact that his heart was removed then later returned to his family makes an interesting footnote to this story.

Although described as a struggling musician residing in Amsterdam it is claimed that Mr Sinclair, originally of Arran was a modern day descendant of one of the original Knights Templar who captured the city of Jerusalem during the first Crusade. The Sinclairs (derived from Saint-Claire) are known to be the hereditary grand masters of Scottish Masonry and the guardians of Rosslyn Chapel. They are also believed to be one of the Grail families of Merovingian descent.
