Colm Kelleher
From The Red Pill
Colm A Kelleher PhD, is a research scientist, well-known for his work with the National Institute of Discovery Science (NIDS). Dr. Kelleher is a biochemist with a twenty-year research career in cell and molecular biology. Following his Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Dublin, Trinity College in 1983, Dr. Kelleher worked at the Ontario Cancer Institute, the Terry Fox Cancer Research Laboratory, and the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine.
Dr Kelleher worked as project manager and team leader at Robert Bigelow's National Institute of Discovery Science, which was dedicated to using scientific methodology to unravel scientific anomalies such as UFO sightings and paranormal phenomena. One of the major projects undertaken by the NIDS team was the investigation into the Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, which is allegedly a haven for anomalous experiences. Dr Kelleher has documented this particular investigation in his book with George Knapp, Hunt for the Skinwalker.
Previous to Hunt for the Skinwalker, Dr Kelleher had authored the book Brain Trust. In this book, Dr Kelleher outlined his hypothesis that Mad Cow Disease (a.k.a. Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy, or BSE) has jumped species, infecting humans in the form of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), and may be hidden in the enormous increase in the number of Alzheimer's cases since 1979. Detailing the history and biology of Mad Cow Disease, Brain Trust revealed how an investigation into the mysterious deaths in a group of cannibals in a remote part of the world evolved into a research program in the United States that may have had unforeseen and frightening consequences.
Before moving to the biotechnology sector as a senior research scientist, Dr. Kelleher served as administrator for Space Sciences Inc., a division of a Nevada aerospace company. Dr. Kelleher has authored 38 peer reviewed publications in molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry and virology as well as articles in popular magazines such as OMNI.
